There are a lot of incredible journeys that we will take throughout our lives.
Some will require us to ride it solo, taking time to reflect on difficult experiences and choices we have had to make. There will be journeys that require us to take a breather from the hard stuff that seems to follow us wherever we go and force us to get our thoughts together once again, so we can get back to enjoying the ride.
Sometimes though, and hopefully more often than not, we find ourselves riding side by side with our best friends. We find ourselves traveling down the open road with the sun on our backs, smiles on our faces and knowing that no matter where this journey takes us, we have someone beside us the entire way who is going to be there with us for the ride.
There is a saying that goes a little something like this: "It doesn't matter where you are going, it is who you have beside you along the way that matters."
For Mel and Cheryl, the past few years has been the ride of their lives as they found "Love On Two Wheels" and set off together to experience this amazing life together. The purpose of life is to live it and they are doing just that, one mile post at a time.
"We met almost 5 years ago," shares Cheryl, "I had never been on a street bike before. He picked me up for our second date on his CVO Road King. It wasn’t long before I was hooked on riding and 3 bikes later I have my dream bike, my 2016 Softail Deluxe."
Mel explains, "My wife and I have been married just about 3 years. Cheryl is always ready and willing to take on nearly any adventure. I couldn't be luckier and can't imagine a better partner and wife for me."
"We spend so much time on our Harleys!" Cheryl says, "We’ve ridden in 7 states so far! Washington, Oregon, California, Idaho, Montana, Wyoming and South Dakota. We are looking forward to many more years and many more states!"
Mel chimes in, "We do about 10k miles a year together. Most of those miles are shared with family members and friends. Riding is most certainly a family thing."
Not only did Mel and Cheryl start their story on the back of a Harley, but they started their life journey together by taking a road trip down to and through the Redwood Forest for their honeymoon!
"He is my best friend and favorite riding partner," says Cheryl.

Enjoy every moment of it.
